Management System |
A management system is the core instrument for the effective implementation of
strategy. Its the way in which the management system is applied
that determines achievement of strategy. |
|
The Plan Do Check Act (P.D.C.A) cycle is the generic DNA process of achievement for any
management system.
Done well the cycle of activities rotates in a never-ending sequence of repetitive events
that progressively converge performance towards the strategic intent.
However, while
there is never any shortage of worthy intentions at planning, all too
often the effectiveness of the process tends to fade as it moves round
the sequence.

|
Common pit falls:
Plans that do not validated Intentions

Lack of measurable objectives
Misalignment of actions
Poor communications Top Down / Bottom Up
Inappropriate indicators of performance
Superficial management review
